As far as I am concerned, Edison is an example who succeeded because of his insistence. He had done a lot of experiments before inventing the light bulb. Among those experiments, there were many times of failure. Faced with the difficult, if he had chosen to give up, he wouldn't be such a huge scientist in the history. What can we learn from him? I began school at seven in accordance with the law in a remote village. Short of funds, the school had only a few classrooms, all poorly constructed. Needless to say, our teachers were few, too. As a pupil I preferred the playground to the classroom and often liked to play tricks on girls, as by hiding insects in their desk drawers.

On one occasion, I even grimaced behind the back of our teacher, causing the whole class to break into laughter; however, instead of becoming angry, he merely asked why we were laughing and wondered whether there was anything wrong with him. On another occasion, I punctured the tires of a car parked inside the school by using something sharppointed, leaving the principal frightened and bewildered after he had noticed that. Such were the happy moments in my life at that school. The happiest moment, to me and to all of my schoolmates, however, was the one when the school was letting out at the last bell of the day and we were rushing home as if we would never be back. Once, on our way home, a bunch of naughty students found a crickets' hole and exerted themselves to inject water into it with loud cheers.

The girls were no less frantic than the boys when they were having a good time at such games as jump-rope, hopscotch and battledore and shuttlecock.

国庆节英语日记The National Day Diary
On October 1, I did not go out as usual. Since it was National Day, 61th anniversary of my homeland, like many people, my parents and I just sat in the couch and watch TV.
十月一日这一天，我没有像平常一样的出去。因为今天是国庆节，是我们祖国的61岁生日，我跟其他人一样，跟我的父母坐在家里看电视节目。
We didn’t want to miss the program, parade. We were all excited when we saw such beautiful and magnificent scene. There were so many people gathered together to
celebrate the 61th anniversary. From their smile, I can feel their happy, their proud and confidence. I feel proud there are many advanced weapons to secure our country. 我们不希望错过如此好的节目。当屏幕上出现了如此多美丽的装束的时候，我们异常的兴奋。还有这么多的人聚集在一起来庆祝祖国61华诞。从他们的笑容里我可以感受到他们的幸福程度以及他们是如何的自豪与骄傲。我看到祖国有这么多先进武器，深感自豪。
We, Chinese, are never aggressive. We love peace. We know how to secure the peace because Chinese is the victim of war. When I saw 61 flower buses passed through Tian An Men, I am so excited. I believe our country will have a prosperous future.
我们中国人，是不可侵犯的。我们爱好和平。我们爱好和平，因为中国人因为战争付出的实在是太多了。当我看到61个花车从天安门前驶过时，我是如此的激动。我相信我们的祖国的明天会更繁荣昌盛。
